The adventures of the two exiled aliens as they send Transmissions home to the mother-planet – Spudarchy Groove (Dr.) and Krossie (Krossphader) are the earth host names of two aliens who’ve been sent to report back from this planet, to their own home planet of Spudarchy.
Some, indeed many, back on Spudarchy, listen to their transmissions from Earth via these podcasts and there is a growing movement on their home planet to end the banishment that was imposed on them for what has become known as ‘the controversy’. They receive technical help from the Engineer Soviet Pop.
Whilst life on Spudarchy is advanced, the inhabitants are interested in the bizarre adventures of Krossie & Groove as they send back music, clips, and interview guests about life on this primitive planet which appears bent on self-destruction. Will the SSH convince Dr. Wattz to build them a spaceship so that they can return home, will they go native, will they save the earth, or will they be taken back to the planet from which they were exiled?
SSH Prog. 1 -> Surburban Superheroes – Soiled By Cheap Spanish Wine
With minds soiled by cheap Spanish wine, they run a fireside gauntlet of ham actors and arse films in the form of There Will be Blood, a movie based on American mud raking journo Upton Sinclair’s Oil, and the classy spanish ghost flick The Orphanage.
SSH Prog. 2 -> Surburban Superheroes – Splitting your mind with a light buzz of nonsense
Visited by Don Rossco – they explore how to split things with guitar chords, Exclusively tell you of Led Zep plans, and explain how Photoshop can be used as therapy, existentialist angst, and getting lost Benjamin and a light buzz all the way through, and finally they end up with a musical attack on the earth leader known as Bertie.
SSH Prog. 3-> Suburban Superheroes – Thinkers, Drinkers and Teleporters
Krossie takes on a fat second hand car salesman; we talk of chaos countries and thinkers and there are lots of lines here that don’t go with anything whilst we teleport to various places.
SSH Prog. 4->Suburban Superheroes – Back to the Eighties – Time Travel
1988 a city full of unemployed artists in Bewleys – [plug in some science stuff here about time travel and the TimefluxCapicitor)
Guests -> Silent Gangster – the Soviet Sound Engineer, one Metropolitan Moran in a very full studio which got trapped in bad time known as the Eighties, 1988 to be exact, in a Coffee shop in Dublin, And Relativity makes an appearance E=MC 2 – Musically and get’s them out of a jam.
SSH Prog. 5-> Suburban Superheroes – Intergalactic Hyperspace Bypass
There were issues with this and our intrepid Superheroes managed to have a ‘quiet word’ and save your earth.
SSH Prog. 6-> Suburban Superheroes – Flinching in the Loos
Grass being thrown at people by vegetarians, the dance tent of piss, ballet dancers on springs, Balkan war-lords, CERN cover story – Bugs – alien heathens get introduced to the Gospel by our guest – and the King stay to be the King – DJ block – and toilet philosophy – deeply shallow level – processed food intellectual – we predict the last show from earth – and you know that our paths will cross again someday.
SSH Prog. 7-> Suburban Superheroes – Soup, Sluts n’Angels
Insufficient funds save the Earth from the by-pass, the construction drones aren’t paid, no guest, hillbillies on crack, we remember Hal Hartley – Burn after reading – We express worries about Obam-wham-thank-you-mama, we understand the free drugs and sex that exist on Spudarchy – but we do not understand the technology on which it’s built, Krossie nearly falls asleep and doesn’t inform us what exactly the inter-galactic marquee is for. The Angel phenomena – the accommodating angels, what do they do for you humans? Soup – chicken soup in a classic style
SSH Prog. 8-> Suburban Superheroes – Persistence is Fertile
SSH Prog. 9-> Suburban Superheroes – Soup, Sluts n’Angels
SSH Prog. 10-> Suburban Superheroes – Imaginarium and bad accented dudes
Where we explore our limited knowledge of big things in the presence of one with big knowledge of vast things and Flemrawck. Mistakes & Forgetting & what happens when you get a bad accented dude in Paris are all discussed in the presence of Dr. Wattzer. The Imaginarium of Spudarchy’s famous explorers Groove and Krossie is unscrewed on the airwaves of your primitive podcast technology for all to get a whiff off. Smell deeply.
SSH Prog. 11-> Suburban Superheroes – Proletarian Primitives
For this Podcast (for that is what it is) they were joined by two brothers Vague and Lost, plus the Soviet Engineer and the Ambassador of Nefacturia They play music and wrap about the state of this primitive planet at the end of 2009 There is some foul language and for those who are offended don’t listen to this because they won’t do what you tell them to do…..

Bizarre adventures are about to begin as always – as we send our transmission back our mother planet – Spudarchy. The Mac Friendly version can be grabbed here.
The Bog standard version can be downloaded here or listened to below.
SSH 14: Our Heroes Ponder The Tyranny of IMFacebook and Low Slung Skinny Jeans
Our heroes are joined by DJ Oneshot and talk about life here on an island which has the IMF goons in situ and where we practice asking people to lose the attitude. With the bodies of their earth hosts growing older, they ponder jealously on the low slung jeans of your average Dublin hipster, rub their nipples and find a new love for Dave McSavage.
SSH 15: Don’t Look Back In Ongar.
The Superheroes find themselves even more Suburban when they are teleported to Planet Ongar, far far away from Groovetown studios where they normally transmit their broadcasts home. Here they meet up with their host Nora Bam who brings them on a chronological journey back to 80′s Dublin and tells us about being on Craggy Island. They conduct an interview with Bruce Lightyear, a Space Ranger who attempts to determine if they are friend or foe, Krossie rails against the army of I clones that he thinks an earthling has created, and they introduce another superheroe to the show in the form of Chicken Man. Bizarre Adventures abound in Prog. 15 where the Suburban superheroes Look Back in Ongar
SSH Prog. 16 -> Suburban Superheroes – Space Cinnamon Celb. Juice
The spudarchiz of Krossie & Groove are joined by Flossy in the studio which brings a little Zimmerman and stories about sounds to us. She listens to music through her ears and shows a healthy disrespect for the world of music nerdom of which we know nothing. Discussion ensues about the imminent collapse of this planet (again!) Cinnamon society, daytime TV and the idea of juicing celebrities all come into the mix and as if that wasn’t enough up pecks Chickenman. Join these aliens for another transmission home across Space.
