When I muttered to that messer Krossie last weekend, that he should be doing this post, he told me to hang on for a bit. So I did, and then he left me hanging with an email rambling about Serato, male mystification of DJing and something about letting the fuckers eat laptops instead.
So, here I am instead, to fill you in on the state of the decks in Radio Na Life: apparently they’re not quite up to scratch (honk honk…) so a motley crew of regulars including Mister PCP, Richie K and Halfdutch are throwing a party down in Traffic this Friday, May 30th.
In short, it’s for a new set of turntables for the station, and they’re planning to donate the old decks to a youth project where PCP does DJ’ing workshops.
The Line-up is Raidio na Life DJs with special guests Worries Outernational, you’re warned to expect PARTY tunes in a bass-heavy hip hop, reggae, dancehall style! It’s 8 euro in, and runs from 10pm ’til late.
Mea Culpa and shit – E. R. also lining up a gig to help this worthy cause – July 4th at the Blue Goose – more info sooon!
