This is a spot on review. I headed along to see this last night, and was fairly disappointed with it – came out totally deflated. It didn’t even serve me up my money worth of laughs. I did think it was satirically worth while, there was a few chuckles and the Barry character was great. I’m sort of surprised that the film is being treated with genuine relish in a lot of reviews as being fresh, and a bright new comment on the topic of radical Islam. A lot of the humour and even some of the gags were lifted direct from Monkey Dust years ago, and the mundane boredom of the suicide bomber’s decision is a tone straight from Paradise Now.
